Chapter 19: The Deceptive Return

21st CENTURY – PREPARING FOR WAR

The atmosphere in the house had changed.

The earlier confusion and humor had faded.

Now there was only urgency.

Because somewhere in the 12th century... Vijaygarh was still burning.

STRATEGY ROOM

Diya had spread several maps across the large table.

Some were ancient maps of Vijaygarh, while others were modern satellite images Yash had printed for them.

Veer studied them carefully.

"This is the outer wall of Vijaygarh."

He pointed to a section.

"Rudra Sen attacked from here."

Dev nodded.

"He always preferred surprise attacks."

Roohi crossed her arms.

"So we stop playing defense."

Everyone looked at her.

Roohi continued confidently,

"We attack him first."

Veer looked impressed.

"You are learning war strategy quickly."

Roohi smirked.

"I'm a doctor, not helpless."

Diya smiled slightly.

"Roohi is right."

She pointed to the map.

"Rudra Sen believes Veer and Dev are dead."

Dev's eyes sharpened.

"That gives us the advantage."

Veer nodded slowly.

"We strike when he least expects it."

MODERN TRAINING

Later that afternoon, Yash showed them something new.

Two modern rifles.

Dev stared at them with curiosity.

"What kind of weapon is this?"

Yash explained,

"These are guns."

"They can strike enemies from far away."

Dev examined it carefully.

"This small weapon can defeat soldiers?"

Roohi grinned.

"Welcome to the future."

Dev shook his head in disbelief.

"This world truly fights wars differently."

Meanwhile Veer stood quietly observing.

Even though the technology impressed him...

He said something thoughtful.

"Wars are not won by weapons alone."

"Leadership wins wars."

Diya smiled proudly.

"That's why Vijaygarh still has hope."

BALCONY – EVENING

The sun was setting.

Diya stood silently, staring at the sky.

Veer walked toward her.

"You look worried."

Diya nodded.

"I'm thinking about the people of Vijaygarh."

Veer said calmly,

"They are strong."

Diya looked at him.

"You trust them that much?"

Veer smiled faintly.

"I trust my kingdom."

Then his expression softened.

"And I trust you."

Diya felt her heart warm.

TERRACE – SAME TIME

Meanwhile Roohi and Dev were arguing.

"You still think WiFi is magic?" Roohi teased.

Dev replied seriously,

"You cannot see it... yet it connects people across the world."

Roohi laughed.

"That's science."

Dev shrugged.

"Then science behaves like magic."

Roohi smiled.

"You're impossible."

Dev looked at her quietly.

"You're leaving after the war... aren't you?"

Roohi hesitated.

"I don't know."

Dev nodded slowly.

"Then until that moment..."

"I will fight beside you."

Roohi looked at him with a soft smile.

TIME MACHINE LAB – NIGHT

Yash was checking the machine when everyone gathered around him.

The device began glowing again.

Radha looked relieved.

"Is it ready?"

Yash nodded.

"Yes."

"The time machine is fully charged."

The room fell silent.

Because this meant there was no turning back now.

Diya looked at Veer.

"Ready to return?"

Veer smiled confidently.

"I never left."

Dev drew his sword.

"Rudra Sen will regret attacking Vijaygarh."

Roohi stretched her arms dramatically.

"Well then... let's go save a kingdom."

Everyone stepped toward the glowing portal.

The machine hummed loudly as energy filled the room.

Yash warned them,

"Once you return... the machine may not open again for a long time."

Diya nodded.

"That's okay."

Her eyes were filled with determination.

"Because this time... we're finishing the war."

THE RETURN

The machine opened.

Bright swirling light filled the laboratory.

One by one they stepped forward.

First Dev and Roohi.

Then Veer and Diya.

Just before entering, Veer looked once more at the strange future world.

"This world may be powerful..."

"But Vijaygarh is my home."

They stepped into the machine together.

The light swallowed them instantly.

12th CENTURY – OUTSIDE VIJAYGARH

The machine suddenly opened in the ruins of the ancient temple.

Four figures emerged.

Veer looked at the distant city.

Smoke still rose from parts of Vijaygarh.

His eyes burned with determination.

"Rudra Sen."

Dev tightened his grip on his sword.

"Your time is over."

Roohi looked at Diya and smiled.

"Let's rewrite history."

Diya nodded firmly.

"Yes."

"This time... Vijaygarh wins."
